Conan O'Brien Plays Clip of Accident on 'Tonight Show'

(The Insider) After sustaining a head injury Friday while performing a "Tonight Show" stunt, Conan O'Brien returned to work Monday night and joked about his accident.

"As many of you may know, on this past Friday's show I was doing a stunt and I hit my head and suffered a slight concussion. And I promise, if you're a good audience, I'll do it again tonight," the funnyman said while taping his monologue on Monday.

O'Brien, who injured his head when he slipped and fell during a stunt with guest Teri Hatcher, joked about the media attention he received, saying: "So tune in tomorrow when Eva Longoria [Parker] pushes me down an elevator shaft.”

He also joked that after his head injury he "actually understood the plot of 'Lost.'"

When one of his jokes elicited fewer laughs than he had anticipated, he quipped: "Did I mention I had a concussion?"

The talk-show host urged parents to wake up their children and watch the clip of his accident to serve as a "cautionary tale."
